We took a mini vacation to Prescott with Rebecca and her children. While the kids were sleeping in the hotel the adults were running. Rebecca, Damon and I ran the Gerhal Brownlow 10k trail run.

It was a Hard run, it was practically like trying to run a hike in the heat. But it was a great experience. Gerhal Brownlow was an amazing person and was huge in the Prescott community. He made many trails and courses, started races and trained many people. It was special to me to run this race because his son and daughter in law, Chris and Connie Brownlow, were my Ma and Pa on the trek as a big sister three years ago. Not only did I instantly bond with the Brownlows but we had something in common that brought us closer together, I had just lost my brother and Chris had just lost his dad. I was honored and excited to run this race. And to make it even better I placed 2nd in my age group AND Rebecca placed 2nd in her age group!
After our run we took the kids to the parade. It was kind of sad when my kids asked me what a parade was. It took them a little while to figure out how parades work but once they realized they could wave and cheer to get candy, they never stopped waving. We were walking away from the parade and they were still waiving.

After the parade we walked around the craft fair. Of course we had to buy the kids something...
COTTON CANDY!
What a GREAT trip!
