Shopping

While shopping with the kids Lucy took the jacket we were going to buy and found a cozy seat to try it on.

Quick and Easy Kid's Activities

let kids "carve" with a bar of soap and a plastic butter knife
make "spy gadgets" out of empty toilet paper rolls
freeze army men or other small toys in a one gallon ice cream bucket then give them kid appropriate hammers and let them go to town trying to get the toys out
make up funny names (see my post "New Name" it's quite fun)
make up your own stories
make fruit loop necklaces
have your kids fold cloth napkins while you fix dinner
play "going on a bear hunt"
kids love empty boxes!
push your kids around or let them push each other in a laundry basket
do jumping jacks (this can be hilarious)
let your kids get messy while playing with shaving cream on a cookie sheet
paint your sidewalk/patio with water on a hot day
